The site is designed to provide useful healthcare information without asking readers to submit personal medical data.
Current information service
China Care Desk does not currently provide reader accounts, advertising profiles, medical-record uploads, appointment booking or symptom-history storage inside the application. Site and directory searches run against the published information available to the page.
Hosting and security logs
China Care Desk is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process request, network, security and technical logs needed to deliver, diagnose and protect the service. Those operational records are separate from the privacy-focused audience measurement described below and are handled under Vercel's platform terms and privacy practices.
Cookie-free audience measurement
On public pages, China Care Desk includes Vercel Web Analytics so aggregate page views, routes, referrers, approximate geography, browser, operating system and device type can be used to improve the information architecture. The application does not send custom analytics events. Vercel describes Web Analytics as cookie-free and says its analytics data points are anonymous rather than tied to an individual, customer or IP address. Real-user performance measurement
China Care Desk includes Vercel Speed Insights on public pages to measure route-level loading, responsiveness and visual-stability signals such as Core Web Vitals. These measurements help identify pages that are slow or unstable across device types and regions; they are not used to infer a reader's health status or build an advertising profile.
Search terms are removed from telemetry URLs
Before a Web Analytics page-view event or Speed Insights performance event is sent, the application removes the complete query string and URL fragment. For example, a value entered in ?q=, a directory filter or a correction-page ?source= parameter is not included in the reported URL. The remaining public route path is sufficient for aggregate traffic and performance reporting.
Search and sensitive information
Even with that technical safeguard, do not enter a name, passport number, insurance number, diagnosis, medical record or other sensitive information into a site search field. Search results are informational and are not a private message to China Care Desk, a hospital, an insurer or a clinician.
External links
Official hospital, government and insurer links have their own privacy practices. Opening an external service may allow that service to process device, account, appointment or health information under its own terms.
Data minimization
The application does not use advertising profiles, reader accounts or health-record uploads. A feature that would collect personal or medical information will require a separate necessity, security, retention and privacy review before it is introduced.
